This is simply the right hotel for people who love history, arts & antiques, good restaurant with strong peranakan ambiance and love exploring the little town on foot.
The hotel is chic with a beautiful peranakan & Chinese decoration, soothing from the the aromatheraphy oil they burn on the lobby, spacious rooms & nice little gardens for chill-out after 'sun-tanning' under city sun exposure.
I should recognize as well the efficient & friendly staffs who constantly provided update on my wait-list status.
Net, this is the right hotel you'd want to stay while you're in Melaka.

Excellent value for money, good location, and the spa was fantastic - great start to my holiday. I wasn't aware there was a spa at the hotel - they need to advertise that as it was really good and excellent value.

This is not one of those many star rated hotels but it's great for a cultural experience. It's an authentically Peranakan old house and most of the rooms have been renovated so it has modern facilities. I love the furniture in the halls and the reception. It is not so ideal for families as there is no lift.

This was our second stay at Puri in 3 years. Three years ago, we already loved it, although we found our triple room felt a little dark and cramped.
This time around, the price had gone up quite a bit, but the quality of the place too!
Puri is really now the absolutely perfect high-end "boutique hotel", perfectly well located in the old Chinese district of Malacca, and with absolute baba-nyonya character. In three years, the swallows have built even more nests, just adding even more charm to the place. What a delight! We would not even consider going anywhere else next time we visit Malacca!

The room was not quite what we thought it would be.It was a bit small. Also, we expected similar furniture to what was advertized on the net, i.e. the old looking teak beds. Then there were mosquito's in the room. The room was otherwise overall clean. For seniors I don't recommend the stairs since there is no elevator. I might recommend this place for budget travellers.

All the staff were helpful and efficient. All public rooms have a 'wow' factor and our bathroom seemed very new. Bedroom was good with mini fridge and tea/coffee. Location is excellent, within walking distance of town centre and attractions.
