satisfy
overall consider ok, only food ( breakfast buffet ) need to improve. more choose n delicious and also facility like sauna. compare to others resorts that i went to. environment clean, well maintain. hope next time i come again will be improve. may be can recommend friends to here but not first choice.

The hotel looks nice. The location is a gem. You can basically listen to the sound of wave crashing on the beach. The furniture in the room might need more maintenance or replacement all together. The food for breakfast buffet was so so. If you have your own transport, drive to Cukai (bout 15 mins) and have your breakfast at Hai Peng instead, worth every km you travel. Maybe because it was full occupance during my stay there, but that should not be an excuse for the housekeeping not to 1) dust off my bed from sands 2) tidy up the dressing table, the bathroom sink, and the small study table The price is quite expensive considering what they offer.

This is my 4th trip to Impiana....
This is my 4th trip to Impiana. Last time I stayed was more than 10 years ago. I only visited Kuantan probably not more than 5 times since and most time I would try other newer hotels like Swiss Garden, Legend, even as far as Awana Kijal. Good: Away from the crowd, Very Cozy & warm Malaysian feeling with lots of timber structure in the building. Spacious and impressive reception with the reflection pool in the background makes a perfect scene. 4 posted bed sea facing can watch sun-rise if sky is not cloudy without getting out of bed. Very cozy room and the bay window. Restaurant next to reception also very good. Airy and bright environment. Very good beach. Poor: Not much facilities to keep a child's attention. Swimming pool was pathetic. Alot of walking between room and facilities.

Location was nice! Just a stone's throw...
Location was nice! Just a stone's throw away from the beach. Room had a good ambience with those bamboo blinds. However, can't rely much on the Front Office for their services which they supposedly offer as these services are by 3rd party, thus the liaising is kind of bad. Luckily, I managed to get a tour agency's contact from a hotel I stayed earlier to arrange my activities. Else, it would be a boring, boring holiday.

The moment i arrived at the hotel,...
The moment i arrived at the hotel, the exterior of the building turned me off. The building was very poorly maintained. Paints were peeling off and tiles on the rooftop were falling apart. The room was very clean but there was a kind of odour that came from the bamboo blinds. All the furniture were very old and creaky. The buffet breakfast lack of variety and the service was very slow. It took them very long to replenish food trays that were empty. A handful of the waiters and waitresses were unfriendly, serving customers with a frown. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly, always serving with a smile. Overall i had an uncomfortable stay at the hotel.

There was a blackout in most of...
There was a blackout in most of the rooms during my first night stay, due to thunderstorm. I was in a hot, dark room from 9+pm till 2+am when they managed to get the power on again. Was unable to sleep...requested for candles twice from the receptionist but non came. Service could have been better.

AsiaRooms.com was fantastic. We even communicate till the last moment before we set-off to Impiana Resort. Where we're not sure whether to proceed of not to as per news most area the we'll pass thru to get to Impiana was flooded - we drove there. Resort was situated at the border of Kuantan & Trenguanu - long drive. Impiana Resort was an average one. Not suitable fr senior citizen with wheelchair as we've to clim up to the main lobby (quite high). But reception was nice. She even swop one of the room to a bigger one & connecting to another without add charge. Deluxe room was small - just nice to fit in 2 adults. No comment fr the beach as the wave was quite rough, migh be due to the monsoon season. As such, would discourage travel during such season. Breakfast was normal would be better is they could hv more spread. If you drive, can easily get food fm mini-stall along the rd.

Hotel is quite reasonable however it's quite...
Hotel is quite reasonable however it's quite isolated so for a quite & relaxing time it's perfect. You definitely need a car if you want to get around. The hotel itself could use a bit of renovation but the staff are lovely and the location is a beautiful one.
