The hotel staff was unaccomodating. They didn't really know how to meet our needs. We had a phone that didn't work, but they did not replace it. We went during off season (end of July) and there were no beach chairs available on the resort. After telling the hotel staff, they told us that they didn't have any. But what beach resort doesn't have beach chairs by the beach? The hotel pool was satisfactory. The food was inedible. After requesting toilet paper and towels several times, we finally had to go get them ourselves. There is one computer for internet access. The price is reasonable. This hotel does not have free shuttle service from the Kuantan airport. You will have to take a taxi to the hotel from the airport costing around 55-60 ringgets.
Therefore, if you are going to visit Cherating Beach, invest in a higher quality hotel. If you decide on this hotel, be prepared to entertain yourselves because there are few ammenities and the area is rural (small town). Cherating Beach is a wonderful beach for relaxation and rest.

Poor PR from the management,bunga padi coffee house need to be improve on servicing people or customer.
Nite time a bit doom coz cannot do a lot of activities.Karaoke room unavailable,toilet a bit smelly like public toilet.I need to wash it by my self.Lanscaping to be tidy up or upgraded,to add up more landscape lighting to cheer up nite time,a bit dark while walking surrounding to take a fresh air.

Value for money hotel. Clean and comfortable beds/rooms. Fairly new hotel. Very friendly and helpful Malaysian staff. Stayed for 2 nights in Sept 2006. First night found out that the sir cond cannot be adjusted to go warmer. We were freezing! Shower had a flaw. We requested for a change of room and problem was solved.
Caution - expect Malaysian seminars and family days to be held here. Lots of them smoking and kids in the pool.
The saturday afternoon and night was "noise" polluted. The hotel should have been more "sensitive" to the other clients.
Alos take note that the muslsim women swim in their clothes. Not so hygenic we feel. We did not go into the pool for the 3 days were there.
The beach however was clean and beautiful.
