Very good Resort for relaxing up to...
Very good Resort for relaxing up to some 4-5 days at the Beach. Exellent cuisines, but - all not cheap. You should take some food and drinks for in between from Lumut.

Nice hotel, although they are doing some reconstruction of the garden villas at the moment. A little bit noisy. Stayed at a sea villa for three nights, was enough for us. Good service, will come back.

Expensive but a fantastic resort, we enjoyed every minute of our staying! Very nice and helpful staff, wonderful beach, excellent food, the Spa is really unique - the only remarks we can make to improve even more this paradise is that a buffet breakfast would be easier instead of asking à la carte, which can cause unnecessary waiting; shuttle bus was very helpful and efficient to go around the island but a kind of shuttle boat to explore the island coast and nearby Pangkor island would be nice too for those who love the sea (we could rent a boat but it was expensive).

We stayed for 4 nights it is wonderful and tranquil a fantastic last few days to our vist to malaysia, spa village is great, 3 pools to ourselves heaven on earth.

Hi all
Have stayed at Pangkor Laut 3 times and each time it just gets better. What a beautiful place to chill out. No TV's no radio's no music (apart from the wonderful musical trio that plays at the bars and restuarants late into the evening.
Accommodation is superb, check out the baths, food superb and the staff could not be more helpful.( without being annoyingly over attentive )
Uncle Lims is the best oriental food that I have experienced. Great dinning experience as there is no menu, once you tell them what you like, be brave and let them decide for you. Dinner on the rocks watching the sunset is an experience.
The Island is a rain forest, the jungle walk is a must, very informative.
( although make sure that you have insect spray )
Emerald bay is a superb beach that complements the swimming pools really well. Lunch at Chapmans bar on the beach is so laid back, you can just drift away.
The spa is a totally wonderful experience - not to be missed.
Anything you want just ask the staff and if it is possible you will get it. The management will do everything to make you stay memorable.
This island resort makes a wonderful change from the plastic impersonal city hotels, which all look the same.
Go to Pangkor Laut to chill and forget the world.
I can not wait to go back.
We stayed in the beach villa first...
We stayed in the beach villa first which was pleasant but a little on the small side, though the bath was delightful. Then we were upgraded to the spa villa as we were on our honeymoon, and our neighbours at the beach villa were a bit noisy. The spa villa was wonderful, and very peaceful.
The only bad thing that i have to say is that the food is overpriced and not of true authentic malay style even in samudra. The portions are not that large, and they could do a lot, lot better...
But if you are getting fed up with the food, you can always take a speed boat across to pula pangkor (for 100MR for 2people) and experience the great cuisine in the numerous eating establishments around the island...

I can honestly state that this has to be one of the most tranquil and beautiful resorts, the attention to detail was unrivaled. Unfortunately we only had a two day stop over which was way to short to fully experience this resort. A special thanks to the staff who treated us like royalty on our honeymoon with a room upgrade and a petal filled bath in the evening. This is a fantastic resort a litle awkward to get to but worth the journey.Even the fisherman are friendly and give you a wave every evening. If you want pampering and to be totally relaxed this is the resort.

Our stay at Pangkor Laut Resort was a very relaxing experience with staff attentive to our needs and a variety of high standard restaraunts offering an extensive menu selection also bars with drinks/snacks available.
The Spa Village complex was pure serenity offering treatments which contributed to the feeling of further relaxation, I would recommend the Malaysian bath experience and Lomi-Lomi massage.

I have just returned from Pangkor Laut...
I have just returned from Pangkor Laut with my family and had a wonderful 3 night stay there. The island is wonderful with excellent beaches and jungles to stroll through. My only complaint is the standard of staff in most of the resorts dinning areas. Service was very slow and most of the staff gave the impression of never having worked in the service industry before. In the Chineese for example, we had to wait almost 45 minutes to recieve our first drinks once we had ordered. Apart from our dinning problems, we stent a wonderful 4 days on the island.
