Value for money
Good service. Relax environment. Nice beach with some activities for u to enjoy. But I won't recommend the spa. Very basic.

The hotel has nice grounds and good beach - even if the sea is a bit murky. Friendly and helpful staff and lots to do, very glad I chose this hotel. no complaints.
Fair Stay
Staying at Bayview was pleasing. The only disappointment for me was the beach. It were not really clean. The food was not really that good. Otherwise everything else were okay.

Its expensive for a Mediocre standard hotel
I was over at Bayview Resorts Penang for a festive holiday. My family and i stayed there for 3 days 2 nights. Arriving late, the hotel reception was very helpful and very alert (given that we reach the hotel at 3am). I was under the impression that we were off to a great start in Penang. Our rooms were big and spacious however badly needed some upgrading work. The following morning during breakfast, my family and i was quite taken as to how rude the dinning staff were. When we asked for some assistance, they would rudely brush us a side telling us to wait. When we asked to help clear some of the plates that were no longer in use, they just look at us at the corner of their eyes and just walk away. I sat quietly observing this for some time and notice that the reaction was different towards European guests. I was under the impression that we (Asian) customers are not viewed as important as our European counterpart. Being that my stay was for 3 days, again I observed this the following morning at breakfast. I wish that the hotel management will address this matter and re-educate their staff on basic customer service. This should also be emphasized to not just the dinning staff however to all that are front line customer service.
Get what you pay for...
All OK, huge two rooms, great for family or as we had myself and wife and visiting Mother. Great beach, very picturesque and pool / gardens quite nice but reasonably basic. At one end of the resort, we had a car so were fine, but quite a walk to many of the restaurants. Hard Rock next door so can use their restaurant and facilities but need to book. Restaurants in hotel dead all week, so we never tried them, a lot of good alternatives in the area. If we were staying on our own, we have stayed in better hotels down the road for a similar price but for a family room, it was cheap and all OK.
