Try to book the beach wing room as the tower room has to cross
A bridge to get to the pool. And no Aircon at the tower lobby. My room Aircon not working well. No free wifi in the room. But overall still ok.

A relaxing stay in Penang
We have just returned to the UK following six days at the Holiday Inn Resort, Penang. We stayed in a newly refurbished room in the Ferangi Tower. Although the tower is on the opposite side of the road to the beach this was not inconvenient in any way. The room was spacious with twin double beds, large flat screen tv and walk in shower in the ensuite. There is a bridge connecting the hotel to the main beach side restaurants and pool area. The room was serviced twice a day once in the morning and again during the evening when the bed was turned down. Nice white fluffy towels, good bedding and dressing gowns. Buffet breakfast by the beach with plenty of choice. Clean pool and surrounding area + childrens pool. Free wifi in all public areas and RM5 per hour in your room. Good value for money.

A pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Resort (Penang- Batu Ferringhi).
I arrived at holiday at 11plus am and they allowed early check in (subject to avail). Was informed that the room it is a smoking floor (though requested for non-smoking floor). Room was fantastic (no smoking smell), roomy, well-tidied and clean. Room came with LCD TV (think 40 inch) and also ipod docking system for use. Overall, it is a fantastic stay.
By the way, i stayed in Tower wing (Sea view with balcony) 17th level.

We had a pleasant 2 nights stay in December. In general the staff was warm and friendly.
It was quite packed due to the school holidays but overall service was not compromised. The only thing lacking was a nice decent pool. The pool was quite small.

Value place for families
Location's in mid section of night market. Resort within walking distance to food eateries. Good place for family outing.
