The location of the hotel is relatively far away from GeorgeTown, a trip to to town takes about 20 mins and would cost about 25 Ringget, as the taxis in Penang do not go by meter. It's quite a distance from where the food and shopping is. The beach is nothing to talk about, though it's a nice place to just sun bath and read a book. The hotel's pool does not get the sun and it's not very clean and inviting. Breakfast is pathetic, after the second day, it gets boring. The plus point is that there is a small hawker center across the road from the hotel, where you can find nice , cheap food. Service in the hotel is slow. We arrived in the morning and were told that the room will only be ready at 1.30pm. We went out have breakfast, do some shopping and got back to the hotel at 2pm, and the room was not ready yet. We have to hang around the lobby for 1 more hour before we get into our room. The air-con leaks, the water heater does not work. The room was big though, for the price I paid. All in all, it's a relatively nice hotel to stay in for the budget traveller.
