Great sea view, good front desk service, breakfast is ok, good location, easy to find from Penang Bridge and access to popular tourist areas especially to Gurney Drive for food.
This hotel is suitable for families and budget minded resort holiday makers. There are several food courts and shopping malls in walking distance, and bus runs freaquently near the hotel and the downtown. However, there is no wireless internet from guestroom (only top floor is available), and it is not worth for the business travellor who conduct business in Penang.
The hotel was undergoing renovation when my husband and I was there second week of June. We were not aware that there was renovation in the hotel when we booked. There were some noise and dust due to the renovation during the daytime, but the good thing is we are only back in the hotel in the evening.
We were surprised at the spread of the breakfast as it was quite a good spread considering the price of the hotel. Overall, we are satisfied with the hotel. We will likely to return next year after the renovation.
Rooms look old, very very old furniture that hasn't been changed in years! but overall clean, and with an amazing view of the Tanjung Beach!
Excellent pool, and buffet breakfast!
I felt the hotel was quite isolated. You had to get a taxi or a bus where ever you went.
The beach was poor and dirty.
Pool was nice clean and relaxing.
The staff were very pleasant and always helpful.
