I think it is one of the...
I think it is one of the best hotel in all over Asia! Amazing (!) breakfast, cleaned everyday, large seaview room, keycard (what is working), own beach, free no motoring seasports... But... i've got LITTLE problems with this hotel: -facilites: important to me in a hotel facilites: wifi connection. Here it has wifi - but payable: 28 RM for a month! (we stayed 2 nights) - i dont understand why we must pay for it. (thatswhy not perfect for business travellers) Also not soo good: the bathroom is very noisy! If u would like to take a bath, the water is coming very noisy, nobody can sleeps anymore. - location: It is far from Georgetown: It's good because peaceful (in this time building another hotel in the neighbour, soo not so "peaceful" everytime), but if u want to go in the center for a low price (1,5 RM/way) u can use only the Rapid Penang bus services (A/C buses). This buses are working in a chaos, sometimes u must wait for a bus more than an hour, sometimes 3 commes within 5 min.)

The main problem with this hotel was...
The main problem with this hotel was the service. For example, the pool was supposed to close at 8 pm, and my friend and I tried to find towels at 7:30. Not only had the towel guy left already (??), the other employees were very unhelpful in helping us to find him, brushing us aside. We stood at the side of the pool waiting and shivering until 7:45, when he finally agreed to get us towels. He did not apologize for our having to wait, nor did he provide an explanation for why he abandoned his duties so early (when we were clearly still in the pool). This incident was representative of the treatment we received -- the employees seemed unenthusiastic and undedicated to their jobs, and did not treat us like their guests. Our experience there would have been entirely different if we had merely received a few smiles from the reception desk, instead of being treated like unwelcome, near-forgotten relatives who had suddenly shown up and asked for handouts.

A mediocre and quite run down hotel....
A mediocre and quite run down hotel. Needs a facelift. Not a good location for the beaches and not conducive for international tourists. Not a bad location for access to the city.

The hotel was ok, us being non-smokers...
The hotel was ok, us being non-smokers and me getting head aches from the smell of smoke when i found that the whole hotel didnt have a non-smokign floor i was not impressed. Also we didnt realise the hotel was so far away from all the major shops. In the end we had to hire a car just so we didnt have to pay 20RM everytime we want to go some were. The buffet dinner we had was amazing the food was great. THe only thing that would stop us going there again would be the fact there wasnt a non-smoking floor.

Well run, nice staff. Some great views...
Well run, nice staff. Some great views of the water. However, the hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, with taxis rather expensive in Penang, the "real cost" of staying here quickly became apparent. If you had your own car, this of course would not be a problem, other wise you are marooned at the hotel. I should add the beach itself seemed small and not particularly appealing (I stayed in November so maybe it was a seasonal thing).

A hotel located in an ideal place,...
A hotel located in an ideal place, own beach, within easy reach of the town. The service could not be better. Would highly recommend this hotel to all. Enjoyed our stay and will be staying again next year.

Sorry to say my stay was horrible....
Sorry to say my stay was horrible. The room was located cloose to the highway and the noise from the traffic made it almost impossible to sleep. Completely crazy..I was offered a room with seaview for addional 50 RM (550 THB)On the other hand, the staff were very polite and nice, the food inexpensive and good. But, never again when it comes to mee...Location, please check up you descrition in your site... Norway...
