PalanquInn Heritage Suites, Penang  

We stayed in the Loft Suite for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay here. The Suite is roomy and feels really relaxed, I especially loved the opium/day bed in the lounge.
The staff here are really lovely and took really good care of us. Breakfast every morning on the balcony was just great and so delicious.
Although the hotel is slightly out of the city, its an easy walk to the Gurney area and plaza. Once we got our head around penang's bus system it was also a really easy bus trip to the city centre and most sights.
The street could be noisy but I didn't really notice it much (the hotel do also kindly provide ear plugs). The hotel wi-fi was easily connected and really fast.
The hotel helped organise a tour for us with a great taxi driver for the day, and I would highly recommend taking the trip to go to the Spice Gardens, they were just lovely.
