Aircondition
Everything is fine with the hotel n room except for the air condition in room 125, the air blow at the top of ur head the whole nite n yet u feel warm at ur feet, the circular of the cool air isn't good maybe due to high ceiling . I have to kept it at 16deg to cool the room and funny tick tick sound once in a while. Stick a towel at the door gap to keep noise out.
Attentive Staff
The staff informed me I was overcharged for my stay on the 6 May 2012 which was not a public holiday. They void the previous credit card transaction and charged me the correct rates. I want to thank the management and staff for their efficiency and integrity.
Blackout
Everything was okay, worth the price we were paying except that the hotel experience blackout certain times, causing us to sleep without the aircond. They claimed that it is not their fault but TNB's. We were kinda upset because we had sleepless night due to the uncomfortable environment in the room.
However, when we checked out, they gave us discounts on the first night. The staffs are all friendly. :D

Very poor sound proofing walls and ceilings
We booked a 4D3N standard room, was given a free upgrade to Deluxe Room right beside the reception counter. We can hear the human traffic outside at the lobby and reception area all the time while inside the room, even at night. Furthermore the upper level being wooden flooring, we can hear all the loud noises from upstairs whether it's people walking, kids running even in the middle of the night! We didn't had really good sleep every night.
Room was very clean though, but there's no in house dining facility although there are alot of street hawkers along the road outside the hotel. 15-20 mins walking distance to Komtar.

Chulia Heritage Great Location
Great hotel in very good location close to Little India and all the sites.
Plenty of cafes nearby for breakfast - great street food on Lebah Chulia.
Friendly and very helpful staff.
We had read that the hotel could be noisy because of the wooden floors, but that wasnt the case- no shoes to be worn upstairs- we found it very quiet.

Highly recommended
We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and could not fault it. We stayed in a ground floor room with private bath and although it was outside the reception area, the rooms were pretty sound proof and it did not bother us too much. We were amazed it was rated only 2.5 star and I guess that would be because it does not do breakfast and does not have a bar. Both can be found within short walking distance. We checked out the room of a 5 star hotel just a couple of blocks down and we found Chulia Heritage much fresher. The staff are very pleasant and eager to help. We left a jacket behind and it was posted to us with no fuss. It is within easy walking distance to the shopping malls, many restaurants, little India and bars.
We were pleasant surprised at what this hotel offered given its low star rating. We would recommend this hotel to everyone - we definitely made the right choice staying here!

overall good hotel
overall ok hotel, with TV, hot showers, quiet clean room, near to Chulia Street. only bad thing is I can barely access the wifi internet inside the room ... signal too poor.
