We booked a deluxe room, non-smoking and king bed.
When we arrived at 6pm, we were told that all the rooms were full and that we would be getting a std room, smoking with twim beds!
It looked as if we were in no position to argue, so we fought as hard as we could for a non-smoking room. There was nothing deluxe about it and we still had twin beds!
The room smelt very musty, but was clean.
Breakfasts not bad. Location not good, no option but to eat in hotel restaurant. Not thoroughly impressed, but visitors are hard pressed for a decent hotel in Sandakan. I will look more closely into another option should I return.
