We booked 3 rooms and reached the hotel at 2pm. We thought we were on time for check in. However, the front office told us our rooms were not ready. The check in time is 4pm. After some negotiation, they gave a room for us to put our lugguages. If you thought that the official time for check in is 2, it is not. The rooms were clean and spacious. We liked the wide spread of breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated inside the mall, giving us a lot of chioces on foods and shopping.
4 nites @ Sunway Pyramid Tower
A very family-oriented location with proximity to a gigantic water theme park, night theme park, surrounding amenities (711, KFC, foot reflexology, hair salons etc...) and a large shopping mall. Service staff were very friendly; mostly from India, Myanmar, Sri-lanka etc... Just some points to note if you intend to book your stay there but remember, nothing is perfect:
1. No standing shower; inside the long bath which can be slippery and dangerous esp. for the elderly and young.
2. Room service takes a long time to come in our case. Almost 2 hours to get an extra bed (in-between several calls to the Reception to chase).
3. The ski rink in the Sunway Mall (B1) was very short of trainers esp. on weekdays so book early.
4. Our room aircon (#9112) was never cold; only cool even after we complained. The double-door lock spring was spoilt but was promptly repaired when we complained. Remember that this is quite an old hotel.
5. The morning breakfast is huge and well-spread, but in our opinion, not too tasty.
6. Only selected taxis can be called to serve the hotel guests and the charges are quite high. They do not go by meters. Consider that we were charged RM35 to go a short way to Mid-valley, but we only paid RM25 for the coupon-based taxi on return journey. We immediately booked this driver privately for our trip to (KLIA) airport; only for RM90.
7. No Animal Kasier and Digimon at Jusco, Arcade and ToyRUs in Sunway Mall; in case you have toddlers and young children.
8. The hotel has no swimming pool. You need to walk 5-10mins to the next door's hotel (under the same group Sunway) to use their pool. Not guest-friendly at all...
9. WIFI is free but only available in the hotel lobby + coffee house. Again, not guest-friendly; considering the internet-age we are living in today.

Nice place to relax. Shopping mall and theme park are in one place.

Enjoyable
Sunway Pyramid Tower Hotel is a good choice if you want to stay directly in Sunway Lagoon. It is just beside the shopping mall & there's no shortage of eateries around the area. Our room was clean, spacious & I love the big comfy bed.
The buffet breakfast was awesome, plenty of selections & it was a pity that we do not have enough time to enjoy.
I hope the management will consider providing wireless access in their rooms instead of lobby area. Another thing to note is the check out process, it would be much better if we just need to return the cards without signing off creditcard transaction.

Nice hotel
Very fantastic location, near to pyramid mall & near to Sunway lagoon theme park.
