Although online booking was done much earlier prior to the dates we are staying, and all the confirmation are done via email, when we got to the resort, we realised that they have not reserved us the rooms that we wanted at all. We had wanted a seafront ground floor (since there were a number of children, it will be easier to go to and fro to the beach and swimming pool), instead we were given 2nd floor seafront. Their reason was also unreasonable, they mentioned that it was due to the Terengganu sports event (which was already over when we reached there).
I wonder how the resort can confirm our bookings but still get it all wrong when the time comes. Is there no system on the resort side to make sure that online bookings tally? Even if there were no rooms at all, the least the management could do was to email or call us up personally so we would feel a little compensated.
