Great view poor accomodation
The chalets are situated around the lake. You'll stay in an independant wooden chalets with big living and a bath area.
However, the room was dusty. It'll be a great place to spend your holidays if they clean the room better.
The food in the hotel was nothing to shout about. You can get better food outside (30~45min) drive from the hotel. The locals cook very good food.

Nice view and tranquil place.. but lots...
Nice view and tranquil place.. but lots of mosquitoes! Initially, we planned 2 full days there - 1st day to do a jungle trek, 2nd day to do a waterfall trek... But sadly, the nature park was closed so we're left with an entire day with nothing to do (and when i say nothing, it's really nothing). The swimming pool is not well maintained. We drove up to town but it's quite small (but things are cheap, especially their Prata, yum!). Fortunately the room was big as we spent more of our time inside the room watching TV. No bathtubs, sofa and bed were v old and buffet breakfast were terrible. Won't go there again though as it's not cheap. We could hv gone to another place (eg Kuantan) and hv more fun at that price!

The room pricing more expensive that exepected....
The room pricing more expensive that exepected. Triathletes who did the booking got a better and cheaper room rate than thru your company. Factilities : 1. Water Heater - not working throughout the stay did not call to verify due to time. 2. Food - not much of a choice. 3. Pool toilet - dirty. Cobweb along corridors and backyard. 4. Overall the stay was good my family enjoy the trip.

We booked a hotel transfer via email...
We booked a hotel transfer via email but there was no reply. We had to call the hotel directly and was told the transfer was confirmed. However, we requested for an email confirmation but it never came. We had to call the hotel again the morning we flew in - very poor service. We booked a Deluxe room which was supposed to have a lake view. However, the lake view of the room given to us was blocked by many trees. We requested for a change of room but was told that all the Deluxe rooms are the same. We were told otherwise by a couple living in another room - they told us that they have full view of the lake! We therefore requested for a change of room again and finally they agreed to change the room for us on the second day. On the first night, a rat jumped onto my bed! So luckily we could change our room the second day. The rat was really a very terrifying experience. It woked me up screaming at 6am in the morning. There are very few activities available at the resort. The spa is so expensive. The food at the restaurant is quite good and not very expensive (the servings are huge) although they have very few varieties to choose from. Breakfast varieties are pathetic. Most hotel staff could hardly speak English. There are also a lot of mosquitoes at the resort.

The resort is a lovely place to...
The resort is a lovely place to relax and de-stress. You wake up to the many different birdsongs all around, and the lake view was beautifully serene. We stayed in the executive suite, which was spacious and quite well-maintained. It would have been better if there were safeboxes in the chalets. There's a great slide in the 2-tier pool, which was an instant hit for my children, and which provided hours of fun in the sun for us. However, there is only ONE restaurant, and being so far away from anywhere, it became rather monotonous as we had every single meal there, everyday. We became so familiar with the menu, which was already limited, and yet had some items which were unavailable throughout our 4 nights' stay. They even ran out of eggs in the kitchen on our last day there!! According to the manager, the pool bar was closed cos some of the equipment broke down, and the Pizzeria wasn't in operation too. A nice resort for a retreat from urban living.

Nice hotel but let down by its...
Nice hotel but let down by its food quality. Food quality is quite bad compared to the price you have to pay. And you have no other choices but to eat at the hotel only restaurant. Staffs do not know much English. Spa service is also expensive compared to other hotels of the same rating. Room is clean and of reasonable size. At night, be prepared to share your room with other crippies crawlies because they are attracted to the room lighting. One should not miss the boat cruise when staying at Lake Kenyir cause there isn't pretty much to do besides the cruise.

this hotel has one of the worlds...
this hotel has one of the worlds great views. But oh the restaurant! Poor food badly served and ages to wait. staff seem to be all trainees. Can you imagine being raked out of bed at 11 pm because you forgot to sign for that mornings breakfast? comfortable and idyllic and all so willing if only they were taught what to do.

Quite a drive to get here but worth it!! If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is it!! A fantastic view from the hotel room, warmly recommended
