But the star of the show is Berber manager Mohamed, a nomad for 18 years, who will transport you to the Atlas mountains – heaven. (His sister is a great cook of Berber dishes and her breakfast will last you the day.) The house is beautifully dressed with candlesticks and kilims, brass-topped tables and rope-covered chairs, and colour in every corner – crimson ceilings, yellow vases.
