The hotel was built in two typical Amsterdam style apartment buildings. Several nice bars, restaurants and shops can be found in the proximity. The neighbourhood was designed by prominent Dutch architect Berlage and young Anne Frank used to live around the corner of the hotel in the 1930's.

The reception downstairs (there is no lift) is the stylish lounge space with metallic paint walls and a fireplace build of “pebble river stones”.
