Summary
Ij Boulevard Hotel Amsterdam was built in 1800. This is a small, traditional Amsterdam hotel and it is even rumoured that Rembrandt taught students how to paint in one of the bedrooms! However, as there is no lift and the stairs can be quite steep, this hotel may not be suitable for everyone.
The lobby is small but very attractive and has been recently renovated and incorporates a small bar area. There is a very modern glass reception desk and the furniture is traditionally wooden with blue and yellow decor giving it a very bright and airy feel. The exterior is traditional as this was formerly a traditional Dutch monastry.
