Pleasant Stay
Second time I have stayed at this Hotel and again I was pleased with my choice. Excellent value for money and great location.
My daughter and I shared this room and found it very clean and spacious. The service was very good and friendly. Our room had a little kitchen-et and it was great with everything we needed. We stayed 3 nights and out of those 3 only one night wasn't pleasant with very noisy neighbours announcing they were leaving early hours of the morning, but that was not the fault of the property that was just inconsiderate people. It was nice and close to the Cruise port if you are getting off a boat within walking distance but it was up hill, so at 75 it was a bit of a hike with cases. The property is situated on a one way street so it was fairly quite for a city Motel. And we also had a lovely view of the Sky tower which was pretty to look at in the day and night - in saying that it would depend on what side of the building you had your room. It is a very distinctive shaped building in a triangle shape so if you went walking in the town it was always easy to find again - great if your a tourist as we were. It was very easy to catch a taxi as they always seemed to be waiting outside and we booked a shuttle bus to the airport to go home as it was 1/2 the price of a taxi and it was a good service too. While there I recommend you visit Kelly Tarlton's - Eden Gardens and Mt. Eden as they were the highlights of Auckland. Only thing that cheesed us off was not having scales to weigh our cases going home. We didn't eat in the restaurant as it was a bit expensive but what motel restaurant isn't.

Service at the check in and check out were very poor:
we had to carry our luggage to our room and I would say the attendent was unfriendly. We had asked for a higher floor and to our surprise they placed us on the second floor with the adminstration office and cleaning personnel right in front of us.
Piles of boxes were in the corridor making it dificult moving around.

We appreciated being able to store our luggage before and after check-in/out. Location is excellent for anyone cruising out of Auckland.
We were 5 adults staying in two...
We were 5 adults staying in two interconnecting, one bedroom suites and we thought the rooms were very well equipped and we had a view of the habour bridge. It is within 5 minutes walk of the Viaduct Basin and mid Queen Street - a great location. We were very impressed at the nice bowls of fruit we found in each room on arrival. Thanks.
