The Kiwi International Queen Street Hotel and Hostel is situated at the top end of Auckland’s main street. All of the attractions of the Central Business District are within walking distance – theatres, nightclubs, restaurants, shops, banks, language schools, galleries, parks and the casino. The Hotel is set down a driveway, back from the busy street, and so is a quiet place to stay even although it is in the central city.
It is well suited to the budget conscious traveler, by offering a range of room types at different price levels. There are dorm rooms, sleeping up to 8 people, for about $27 per person and private rooms with or without ensuite bathrooms, for 1 or 2 persons, and costing from $49 - $135. Most of the 119 Hotel rooms have an ensuite bathroom which contains a shower. Hotel rooms contain a colour television, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.
Hotel facilities include guest laundries and a common kitchen for self catering. The House Bar offers a range of mainly New Zealand wines and beers, and also offers an evening snack menu of light meals. A Continental Breakfast on a tray can be ordered the night before. There is a pool table for your enjoyment. On the Ground Floor is an internet café, and wireless internet access is available throughout the Ground Floor. We have an excellent Travel Desk, where the knowledgeable staff can help with your local and national travel needs and enquiries. There is a small amount of off street car parking available, and this is free to Hotel guests, while guests staying in the Hostel rooms pay a small charge.
