Our stay was a brief one, flying out first thing in the morning. However the staff were very helpful with the free shuttle there quickly to pick us up from the airport and also in taking us back very early the next morning. Very clean and so close to the airport.
Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location for early departure from CHC airport. About 100m to the terminal (however shuttle provided for free). Value for money. Ample space for parking (for guest only). Food available at the hotel or at the airport terminal.

I never write negativity on these things because you always think the dude is probably a loony tune and always complains. Not me, I just want to warn anyone else who thinks there saving time staying near the airport because you won't be saving much else.
Due to an early flight out of Christchurch, we decided to stay near to the airport. But that was the only advantage to this place! The rooms haven't been updated, including the fridge (which woke us up from it's intermittent electrical fits) and other facilities since the 1970s.
We heard everything from our neighbour's room, such as voices and TV noise. Dinner was one of the most expensive meals we'd had during our time in New Zealand - the lamb was dry, the veggies drowned in garlic and the potato rosti was spongey! we stayed in town in a gorgeous boutique hotel for less money so I'd much rather stay in town than to stay here ever again. As it is between the neighbours and the fridge we didn't get much sleep anyway!
We wanted somewhere close to the airport...
We wanted somewhere close to the airport so we could catch an early morning flight. It was so close to the airport we could have easily walked, but we preferred to travel by the hotel's complimentary shuttle. Definitely one of the better airport hotels I've stayed in.
