Situated on the southeast coast of the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island, the town of Whangamata is recognized as one of the most popular beach resorts in New Zealand with 4 kms of white sand beach, and just 2 hours from Auckland airport. Brenton Lodge is situated overlooking the town of Whangamata, with wide views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean, but just a short drive to the ocean beaches and harbour. The beaches are safe for swimming and surfing, fishing trips leave daily (weather permitting) from the wharf at the harbour end of the town (booking essential) The estuary at the Southern end also provides safe swimming and kayaking.
There are a number of cafes which are able to provide excellent dining, refreshments and entertainment for visitors and these are all within easy accessible distance from the unique location of Brenton Lodge.
