To build an hotel without air-conditioning and then have to install portable A/C units seems to lack foresight on behalf of the architect. To overcome this deficiency the hotel have installed portable floor units. The problem is that they are located next to the head of the bed on the window side. Thus the person sleeping there is freezon out, if they can get to sleep in the first place. The doors to the rooms cannot be closed quietly because of the latch arrangement. Result is that one is woken by slamming doors late at night and early morning.
Breakfast is good, but should be at $NZ25pp. Rooms facing the sea also face the main road and there is some early traffic noise, but it it snot prolonged. Generally the hotel is good and staff polite and helpful.
