The Pillars Retreat is a modern Mediteranean style country Manor owned and operated by New Zealand born Kiwis John and Ruth. Rated 4 and a half Stars by Qualmark New Zealands official rating agency there are 4 upstairs ensuited guest rooms. Three of the rooms have balconies and The Pillars Suite has a raised bath as well as a stand alone shower. As the rooms are upstairs privacy is assured. This means no other guest can walk past the rooms and see in. One Suite has a king bed,one a super king bed and two have Californian king beds

The Pillars guest accommodation is 6300 sq ft so there is a feeling of space through out. There is a guest dinning room,guest lounge,concervatory opening onto a large courtyard. The Pillars is set in 3 acres of parklike grounds with a pond,gazebo,full size tenniscourt and an inground swimming pool.

Set in a semi rural area but close to all Taupo has to offer there is a sence of quietness as there is little passing trafic . We enjoy all day sun and magic sunsets read more
