Overall, the hotel was OK. They gave us a big room. There are two very big swimming pools with a lot of options to play for kids. The swimming pools are very nice for childeren, I think. But the hotel charges a lot extra for a taxi to the airport, too much. The airport is nearby, that should be service from this hotel. The location is not good, there is almost nothing around the hotel. It´s close to the airport, but it´s far from Koror.

I was completely satisfied with my stay at Airai View Hotel and Spa. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful during my stay. The food was more than I expected it to be and was at a reasonable rate for meals. My room was comfortable and the view was great. They have the biggest storyboard on the island. My only complaint (and it's really not a complaint, just an opinion) is that there is only one channel on the tv's in the room to watch that's not in japanese. I would return to Airai View again if I'm in Palau and in need of a room.

The hotel looks alright but is a bit dull, with a restaurant which was empty almost every night. The only people I saw in the hotel were either Japanese or Korean (but that's the way it is in every big hotel on Palau), so inside the hotel itself there is not happening much. The rooms are very dull with just two massive beds and a chair. There is a tv but you only get one channel, a Japanese one... Another major disadvantage is the location. They make it sound like it's great and very central. It's not. All the 'action' is one the other island, and if you're diving or something else you have to get a taxi every morning to the other island as the diving schools won't pick you up (it's a twenty five minute drive!). There supposed to be a transfer bus to the other island but that leaves at non convenient times and will only go when there are enough people. So every morning you will have to get a $20 cab... The highlights of the hotel are the waterpark (where all the locals come to in the weekend to swim) and the service of the personnel. Everybody is really nice and very helpful, but I was the only western guy there and I was by myself, which always helps. The only odd thing that occured is that the cleaning lady wrote a little note in which she asked for a tip! All together the hotel is nice because of the staff, and the rooms are basic but sufficient, but my advice is to book a hotel on the main island to be more in range of the lively parts of Palau.
