Although arranged we had no pick up...
Although arranged we had no pick up when we got to hotel which is a very long hike from the road drop off carrying your luggage, the room which was ready but was full of flies and mosquitoes. The first evening the water supply cut off half way through a shower. We had no hot water all the time of our 4 days stay the heating unit was broken, water dripped constantly from the drain in the bathroom. The main bedroom light did not work the electric plug in the bathroom was hanging off and very dangerous. The maintenance of the room was terrible, after all our complaints still no action was taken The beach beds were the worse on the beach and the umbrellas broken were handouts by Coppertone and had seen better days. We choose the hotel due the positive comments by other travellers but have to say it was in my experience one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed . the owners appear to have a legal action against their neighbors they are certainly not interested in maintaining the hotel to any where near good condition I would not recommend to any future tourist to Boracay we have been twice before and the quality of the rooms and cost was cheaper. We paid top dollar US$990 for 4 nights over xmas and feel cheated by the lack of quality

Room was small but had all I needed. Bathroom could use some updating, but that is my only negative comment. Proximity to the beach and friendly staff made it worth every penny. Would recommend and go back again. If you are looking at spending tons of time in your room, this is not the place for you. If you are looking at relaxing at the hamock outside and then spending the day at the beach, this is the place for you

overall I would say that we had an enjoyable experience at sandcastles other than the fact that the roof of our cottage leaked when it rained, the service was top notch and every one of the staff was available to get you anything you might need

The Sandcastles Beach Resort is a good overall location while staying in Boracay. The staff is friendly. I had a stress free stay at Sand Castles and would most likely stay there again.

This was a great place to stay....
This was a great place to stay. the location was good and easy to get to. between boat station 1-2, I had one of the bungalows and it was great. clean and nice to stay in, just enough to get by, air con, color t.v. and refer. the deck goes all around with a hamoch for relaxing time if you want. You can get a massage with Chay very relaxing. For a beach style bungalow it was perfect. everyone at the resort was nice and courtesy. If you wanted to stay in one of the apartment rooms the were very nice also, clean and spaceious, over looking the beach up front. I would stay here again no problem, definately worth the value.

I arrived and was upgraded to a...
I arrived and was upgraded to a Delux bungalow.  The people were great, location perfect.  Rooms were airconditioned, very clean and simple with bar fridge and tv. No need for a mosquito net as they have screens on every window and the huts are designed to keep out the mosquitos etc.  Bathroom was good.  I loved it there, and felt very much at home with the traditional bungalow settings.  The place looks like it has recently been renovated.  I couldn't fault it.  I did go during quiet time, and preferred it that way. The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful.  it was a great time and I would definitely stay there again... and again!
