I had a flawless stay at Microtel...
I had a flawless stay at Microtel from the day they picked us at the airport right up to the return trip.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, and most of all I enjoyed the beach front and quiet atmosphere there as the hotel is far from the maddening crowd at Station 2, no noisy bar or heavy tourists traffic around the hotel. There is free internet wifi which was a bonus albeit signal was weak in the rooms. But this was easily solved by borrowing a lan cable from the receptionist!
They have an hourly shuttle to send you to D'Mall or anywhere along the route which was another plus for me.
I would not hesitate to recommend my friends to stay there. Well done Microtel!

Clean rooms, very friendly service, direct access to a small, but nice beach. regulary transport to main locations in Boracay, well organized and calm place with free WIFI etc.

Great hotel for a good price. Excellent service from the friendly staff, free shuttle to D Mall or other locations on the island. I would stay again if I return to Boracay.
The only negative was that the wake up calls were not done properly on a few days.

This hotel is quite a distance from the "Action" (and noise) of Boracay Beach. Depends what you want. In exchange you get beautiful peaceful beachside location with quiet and friendly neighbouring bars and restaurants. Wonderful for enjoying the original island delights! A free shuttle bus runs from town centre to hotel which we found very convenient. The hotel has a good pool. The approach to the hotel from town is poor and awaits the building of an adequate road. Quite off-putting to take a long taxi ride from the ferry to get to the hotel late in the evening and then find ourselves doing the final section down a dark unmade track! But once arrived, the hotel is modern and stylish and very welcoming. Sad that a good hotel still finds the need in modern times to charge guests high rates for an internet facility.

Our room was clean and the staff was super friendly.
The breakfast, as with all of Philippines, was a little redundant but the view made up for that.
It was a little beyond Station 1 but my wife and I enjoyed the seclusion.
There was a Korean movie being filmed there during our stay.
