Horrible Service and false advertising of room
We had planned to stay 4 nights at the Lingganay Resort on Boracay. We arrived quite late from an exhausting flight and bus/boat trip. We arrived at approximately 6:30pm to find the reception closed and noone to greet or sign us in. After some discussion with the guard someone finally turned up to give us our room keys. No identification or formal sign in was requested from us to prove we were who we were meant to be.
Our rooms where advertised on their website as a standard room with photos associated with them. These photos were nothing like the rooms that were provided to us.
The list of things wrong with the room resembles a travellers nightmare - no phones, lamps not working, safes not in operation, no batteries in the air conditioner controller, used soap left in the shower, a simple sheet on the bed - no proper linen or doona. Furthermore, ants infested our food that was left in the room overnight, and the fridge was barely even operational.
Management offered no compensation or upgrades once we raised these issues with them - simply passing the blame on to the staff members instead of reflecting on obvious management issues.
I would highly recommend you do not stay at this hotel.
