Budget place for KiteBoarders
Excellent value for money. Great staff
The Most Perfect Little Place in Borocay,
I booked this accommodation simply for its proximity to the kitesurfing beach at the end of the road. Despite there being no reviews anywhere of this place, the price and location attracted me. When I got here, I was amazed. Although my room wasn't ready, as I arrived on a 7am flight, I was offered a little salon area in the garden to chill out in til my room was ready. I was given tea and could have helped myself to the fruit bowl which is there free for the guests. After a 30 hour journey with little sleep, this was most welcome.
Balai Capiz has a really special feel. The people are friendly but not nosy. Breakfast is phenomenal for a little extra. I helped myself to tea and coffee whenever I wanted during the day. For kitesurfers, the beach is about 100m away. The rooms are on the small side it has to be said, so I paid extra to keep my kiteboard and all the paraphernalia at a local school on the beach. However, there's a veranda with table and chair right outside which is perfect for chilling out with a book or just put your feet up.
I was more than happy to stay here - in fact I couldn't believe how lucky I was when I looked around and saw other budget accommodation.
