The only thing we didn't like is...
The only thing we didn't like is the harrassment from the pesky security guards. One night, my fiance' and I come back from a night out of town. My fiance' is dressed fairly sexy and not one but 3 guards followed us up to the elevators and kept asking me if she is my wife. I said my name and hers is registered on their guest list. I thought they were joking until each one surrounded us like we did something wrong, and looked like they were ready to take me down. My fiance got scared and pulled me in the elevator quickly. Inside the room I called the front desk and complained to the manager. The manager said he will have a word with the guards but not even an apology to us. Very disappointed with this. I turned down the Marriot for this hotel? Bad move on my part, never again.
On the plus side, breakfast is great.

upon entering the hotel you immediatly felt...
upon entering the hotel you immediatly felt vastness, ITS BIG,choice of restaurants good,pool area great,and a 24 hour casino to spend your pesos.
The staff were great and the smiles and greetings were honest,no problem on booking in or out.
I would definatly stay here again.
Our stay at the Waterfront was not...
Our stay at the Waterfront was not a pleasant one at all. After checking into our room we noticed that the carpet had not been cleaned & my husband found broken glass on the floor next to the bed. In the morning I took the broken glass to the reception & spoke to the manager in regards to the cleanliness of the floor & I showed him the glass that we had found. The manager did not even apologise, he just said that he would inform house keeping (very bad customer service). The water pressure in the shower was terrible, it was so bad that we asked to be moved to another room, in the 2nd room we were in the curtains did not shut all the way, there was about a foot & a half gap & the carpet had not been vacuumed (just like the 1st room), so we moved rooms again. Finally the 3rd room we were in was just okay, the carpet again had not been vacuumed & the water pressure in the shower was slightly better than the 1st room. The amenities in the bathroom were below average, they did not supply a toothbrush or a face washer, had to call house keeping everyday for a face washer. The minibar items were over priced. The buffet breakfast is okay (just like most other hotels), however the buffet dinner in the same restaruant was great. The day tours we booked from the hotel were great, however not worth $60USD each.
We had booked a Deluxe room & it definitely was not deluxe, more of a standard room than anything. The rooms are over priced for what you get, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, except maybe businessmen, as there is alot of conference rooms at the hotel.
The staff were not very helpful, we asked the receptionist what one of the shopping centres was called near the hotel & she told us the wrong one, so when we got into the taxi & asked him to take us to the shopping centre he took us to the wrong shoppoing centre & totally the wrong area.
Overall our stay at this hotel was ver disappointing, we would not stay there again or reccomend it to anyone. The hotel is definitely over priced & not worth the money!! This hotel rates itself as being 4 star, definitely not, maybe a 2 & a half!!

My family, friends and I have stayed in this hotel for years and its a great value for money. Its a grand hotel with splendid facilities for all ages and the excellent, clock work precision service of the staff especially Reservations and Front Desk is unique, comforting and satisfying made us feel at home each time every time.
