This is a modest hotel by the sea. If you expect you can spend the whole day inside, it may not be the right place for you because there is not much you can do there.
I and my girlfriend upgraded our room to the deluxe room facing the beach in the old wing. However, the seaview was disappointing, not to mention the private beach is created with two concrete docks on each side. It is difinitely not ideal for swimming because of the seaweed growing everywhere in the seabed.
The linen and pillowcases in the deluxe room were old and there were some old stains on the sheets.
The new wing is finished but not yet available. So things may be different in the future, but I wouldn't expect much from it.
However, I would like to thanks the diving operator located in the hotel. Because we arrived the hotel in the afternoon and they were still able to arrange a two-hour snorkling session for us in the nearby sanctuary with a private boat.
I would try the top stars hotel next time if I visit Cebu again.

We had arranged for pickup service by the hotel via email and although our flight was 4 hours delayed, the Costabella staff was outside waiting for us patiently. The rooms offered 2 double beds, which is perfect. The breakfast was always tasty and enjoyable. But most of all, the staff of Costabella made our stay truly memorable.

The maid sevice left alot to be desired, especially in the bathroom.
All the staff were most helpful. My fiancee and me transferring to a larger room, facing the beach where we received a far superior room and larger bathroom.
The restaurant was mediocre, which was a great pity, based on the location.
Better management would vastly improve this location.
The place is old and run down....
The place is old and run down. Landscaping is horrible. They did not mop the floors in my 8 day stay -- they use a 100 year old broom alittle. I was very disappointed. The people that work there are very nice and courteous. The restaurant uses grease from ww2 to fry their food. Nasty and expensive for such poor quality. I stayed in their best suites and it was okay but old looking and the a/c barely kept the room tolerable. Pick someplace else you will be happier.
