Reliable, clean, friendly, convenient
We were there only one night, in transit in a way, but I wanted to be able to visit Ayala Mall. It's within 5 minute walking distance. The hotel is very good. Reception and bell-hop service very good. Room clean and comfortable with OK television and aircon, etc. Maybe a tad tight on space but for one night, it was fine. Longer, you might want to consider a larger room. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and Sunday morning's breakfast - both buffet style but oodles of choice and well prepared and presented. No complaints. The price for the night was very reasonable so, again, no complaints.
There is a pool and a bar, I believe, but we didn't use them, so cannot comment.
We live in the RP and when we visit Cebu again, we shall certainly book in here. Half hour drive to the airport - about P200. It's in the 'better' part of Cebu, ie, what they call uptown, I think, NOT by the piers and so on which, like many cities in the RP, is pretty grim. Book it - you'll be fine!

My hotel of choice in Cebu City....
My hotel of choice in Cebu City. Close to the centre malls and handy for the ferry port. What i like about this hotel is the more relaxed atmosphere than other large nearby hotels that seem more money focussed.
The Park Lane also has an excellent buffet at the restaurant for both breakfast and evening meal.

I stayed four nights at the Park...
I stayed four nights at the Park Lane in January 2009. It was not a good experience. The Hotel is located quite close to the Ayala Shopping Mall and other facilities, which was the reason we chose to go there. A large construction project immediately opposite the Hotel creates a lot of noise and dust. However, there is also renovation in the Hotel and the noise from that started from before 8 am on several mornings. The Hotel staff yell at each other down the corridor and carry intercoms with the volumes exremely loud at all times. Trolleys bang and crash everywhere. Overall, it was extremely difficult to get any peace in the Hotel at any time. The room was small , dark and very basic, and the bathroom ridiculously small. So I would say this Hotel is extremely overpriced for the experience it provides. Finally, the lobby staff and reception staff do not appear to have any local knowledge. When we went out for the first time and asked the doorman for direction to Ayala Centre - a three minute walk - we were amazingly directed in completely the opposite direction to where it is.

I arrived at the hotel earlier than the standard check-in timing. So I was given a free drink voucher at the hotel cafe.
The room is nice and comfortable. They offer free fresh-baked cookies from their cafe which they sent to my room.
The only thing bad about the whole experience is that I booked a ferry/hotel package to Bohol, with the assistance of hotel concerige. The tour agency goes by the name of (something) Vision, just beside the hotel. They charged me 1,100pesos more for a trip that cost only 2,320 pesos, claiming that this is their charges for after-office hours services. Beware..I only knew this after I got my invoices from the resort in Bohol.

I did love the Location just near the Shopping Mall Ayala. Very friendly staff and excellent service. The rooms was very clean and nice, average for this class of hotel. However, the bathroom could need some renovation.
