Through AsiaRooms we got a great deal on this hotel, just over $100AUD with breakfast included for 2. The staff were excellent, from being picked up at the airport and being treated like VIPs from the start. We had to change rooms after the first night as there was a "san mig" sponsored battle of the bands just down the road that kept us awake until 2.30am, the counter staff went out of their way to get another room cleaned and ready so we could transfer straight away, thanks to Keith for your help there. The buffet was good with a fair selection of western and Asian foods and real coffee. The only complaint would be while having a snack in the lounge bar, the food while tasty, only one of the 3 dishes was hot, the others must have been cooling while waiting for all to be ready. I've found that is common to hotels in the Philippines. Close to cheap shopping and food stalls, overall, a very good experience, I'll stay there if visiting the area again.

Great Hotel....
It was excellent staying at Marcopolo hotel. Great food, with a lot of choices, very good service, staff are friendly and security wise, it's very safe!

Nice Hotel
Had a good stay at this hotel. Reception staff are particularly charming and helpful which made any interaction a good experience. Hotel services have improved since my last stay and it seem that the improvements will continue.

I have read reviews about this hotel...
I have read reviews about this hotel being dirty, dusty,and poor service.I did not find this I thought It was clean, food was good,and the staff was brilliant but you just can't please some people can you. I would stay there again Thank You for the pleasant stay. Mr F Owen England

Well, the blanks above cannot be filled on my computer. However, I did think the hotel was extremely overprices, especially it's food, it was nearly impossible to have a meal for less than $50 - $100 for a couple. The personnel were not particularly friendly, the room was small (i had a room for 3, supposedly), and it took nearly 20 minutes to get a taxi in front, because of their security and hailing method. I stayed at Apo View hotel also, which was a wonderful hotel, beautiful rooms, excellent friendly service, a gorgeous garden grounds, delicious affordable room service, and the bill was less than half the cost per day. I would rate the Apo View equal or better than Marco Polo. THanks for the opportunity to comment.
