This is an not maintained hotel. The rooms...

This is an not maintained hotel. The rooms are big but everything is in avery poor condition. The floor cover stinks and cockroatches are guest in the room. In her glory time it most probably was a nice hotel. The kitchen was good but the serving is bad everything must be asked. Checking out is a 20 min procedure because mini bar and items in the room are to be checked. pro is that it is 20 min from the airport. about 400 Pesos by regular taxi.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR....DO NOT WASTE... YOUR MONEY HERE.... WHAT A SHOCKER...Where do l start... the room,,one word MOULDY... the smell... went to front desk and complained....Was told will send maid up with can of air freshner... my reply was they could kiss my (profanity)... after some debate was upgraded to better room... air con leaking water in bedroom....white shower curtain had brown mould on it... and that was the upgrade.... so you can guess how bad the first room was... when booked room... breakfast not included...thought fair enough...they do not do breakfast.... SURPRISE.. SURPRISE was told can have buffet breakfast for 199peso... ok..had breakfast and went to pay bill....charged 218peso asked why sign says 199 but l am getting charged 218...gave me some reason could not understand.. DO NOT USE HOTEL TAXI....way over priced...this was the third hotel l used on my holiday...if had of been first l would not have known better... in the end it was not about money... it was the princpal of the matter.... save yourself the heartache....there are heaps better hotels in manilla...for the same price...with breakfast included.... but if you still would like to use this hotel....DO NOT SAY YOU WHERE NOT WARNED..for me l was l was brought up that everyone makes mistakes but if you make the same mistake twice you are an idiot.... l will never stay here again...l made a mistake...that l will not repeat... as for the rating... if they had below poor or -5...thats the rating l would give them

I stayed here once (2007)prior to my...

I stayed here once (2007)prior to my most recent stay. At the time the price for a 2 bed/2bath room was for 70+ USD now it's 95 USD. With inflation it's understandable. However, this time around the room had 3 A/Cs and only one work while the other 2 blew warm air. Upon arrival I asked if they had a copy of my reservation and told that they do. Following day after I had my breakfast, I asked if the room charge covered for the breakfast, they called the front desk and was told that it ISN'T. So paid cash for it but upon check out I reviewed my reservation and saw clearly that it included a breakfast. Informed them about it and was refunded without any apologies. I will never stay at this place again. Moved to the Best Western Astor for my second night in Manila and for 91USD was upgraded to a suite, room was clean, AC worked, and location close to Makati. Now I know where to stay next time I have to stay in Manila. Atrium must realized that there are so many other hotels in the city and they best change their attitude and improve the upkeep of their rooms.

Good value. Quite rooms. Large Size room....

Good value. Quite rooms. Large Size room. Big beds. The rooms are a bit worn out, but who cares! One of the best deals for the money in Manila. This was my third visit, however I did see some small cockroaches by the TV stand which made me a bit nervous. The breakfast is very poor. Better off going to Jolibee which is right out the side door.

Large rooms with adaquate furniture and a...

Large rooms with adaquate furniture and a big bed. Cool AC and decent location. What else can you ask for under $60/night? However the breakfast is really poor so don't expect much. The thing I like best is that the rooms are all very quite. No outside noise which is a big problem at many budget hotels throughout Manila.

This time round I only spent 1...

This time round I only spent 1 night here (close the the airport so always good to have when staying in Manila. As always the front lobby staff are smiling and fiendly. The Reception staff are more "professional" that is to say not a large amount of smiles, but they did what I asked in a timely manner so I can say that they are...well...professional. If you do not like Air con directy on you then you may have a problem with the smaller rooms as the positioning of the bed was directly in the path of the Air-con air flow, so it may get chilly (but there are plenty of blanlets) The rooms are plain but very clean and functional, the Bed is not too hard and there are 4 pillows for double bed. TV reception (cable and regular) is of good quality but there was no Interet access in my room (Studio Suite). I think this is the only feature that let me down with the Atrium, as the Business Centre ony has 3 computers. With Wireless or even wired lines, the Atrium would be a better experience. (for those hungry to stay in contact with the rest of the world) Very close the the LRT (right around the corner) and close to ATM (mastercard and Visa) Also close to the Mall of Asia and Ocean Park (when the traffic is not bad)Not so good if you want to go to "Mega Mall" or Greenhills Mall via Taxi. Go via the LRT to Taft and then MRT to Ortigas it will be cheaper and quicker (thats if you can squeez on the train) The only concern that I have is the cost of the hotel Taxi service - Sure they are there when you want them and they will pick you up after a quick call to the Lobby, but it cost me 250 to get across town (the normal price would be about 160 on a bad day. I will stay again.

The Atrium is in a good location...

The Atrium is in a good location for overnites between flights, as both NAIA and domestic airport are nearby. The Nirvana disco across the street is convenient, but not much else in the neighborhood is worth venturing to. Our only complaint is the lack of hot water in the CR, and the sticky feeling of the towels. Food service is great, the view is awesome, and the room is huge, a big deal for us as we'd just left a shoebox in Hong Kong. Atrium is a fine layover place, just hope to have hot water next time!
