We just got home from Philippines September...
We just got home from Philippines September 12, 2005. We've been there in Manila Pavillon Hotel stay for 5 nights. The Hotel needs improvement. The Gym facility are not really clean while working out, not enough equipments to use. The bathroom sink is always clogged out, the carpet is stink and looks like they never vacum the carpet at all, they should replace a new carpet , or atleast steam the carpet, the service is good but fronts desk is terrible takes so long to process the reservation and have bad attitude. The Breakfast Buffet is good and presentable, the hostess captain is nice the server is good, the security is good bellman is good, housekeeping is good, but you need ironing and board. I can recommend only maximum 3 stars. The money we pay $75.00 per night is not worthed compare to US . Need a lots of improvement of this Hotel. Especially the Front Desk attitude. Smilling face should be recommended to all guests, it will help them feel more welcome and friendly.

Stayed at the Manila Pavillion twice already...
Stayed at the Manila Pavillion twice already during Christmas time. Overall room is okay. We usually request high floor but they manage to give us a middle floor with a slightly smaller room that the high ones. Decorations around the hotel and room are okay. The bathtub in the toilet needs work as the water doesn't go down the sink and so it piles up until my ankle! The security is good and so are the bell attendants but the receptionist particularly one girl (forgot her name) was very very rude! Check in and check out time takes incredibly long! The hotel lobby doesn't have seats for you while waiting for your room to be ready or a taxi,they should consider putting at least some! I would rate this hotel a 5 out of 10 but for the price i paid which is $350/night/room,it was just fine.

The Pavilion hotel was still under renovation. However, my comment is that the carpet on the floor are not good. The beds are just ordinary and small compared to International Standard and the beds are just like in a three star hotel in Russia. The personnel however are very professional and highly commendable. Foods are excellent.

Pavilion is a very pleasant hotel with good restaurants and very reasonable prices. However beware of hidden costs when booking tours through the hotel.
