Manila pavilon hotel
A really old hotel which has not been upgraded or refurbished for a very long time.
Carpets old, worn out and badly stained.
The room's padlock was broken and it seems no one really bothered to fix it up.
What's the use of having tea bags, coffee bags and sugar in the room when there is no kettle available??
Location wise, not very ideal and streets around it seems unsafe.
A pity regarding the bad state of the hotel when the staff are exceptionally courteous, friendly and security conscious - they should be working for the 5-7 star hotels.
Book hotel thinking it was to be charged in Sin Dlrs but turned out that it was in USD at USD92/night which I could get better ones in Ermita or in Manila.

non smoking room for non smokers
Non smoking room smells cigarette and hard for us to breath not a good experienced.
Definitely not worth the money
Mould on the walls, dust, dirt, exposed wiring, faulty TV, lobby smells of smoke, overcrowded during the sub-par breakfast. Band playing in the lounge bar was good though.

Not impressed really because booking pics i thought would be a good view of what to expect not guard on the door another with a shotgun trouble in the streets rip of merchants in the shops very disapointed wont be going again

Staff always helpful and charming. We booked for two weekends as we were travelling in between. First weekend we had a room that needed some renovating, second weekend our room was perfect. The Seasons restaurant and the Patesserie is excellent.
This hotel had good service and response...
This hotel had good service and response to issues. I would stay here again. While some of the furnishings are slightly run-down and the some of the carpets are looking a little aged, it's more than fine for a good clean room.
Any questions we had were promptly answered. We stayed here twice during our visit. While it's not a bad price and close to Intramuros and Robinson's shopping centre and Rizal Park and the National Museum, the area is not as 'westernised' as Makati City area, but that's part of the experience!
The breakfast and food in the 4seasons restaurant had a good range. We just found that sometimes it was a little bland and pastries a little dry ... or not as fresh as we thought they should be. But that's a minor point given our overall experience.
