i was thr for the last night of my honeymoon and they upgraded my room and provided a complimentary cake n fruits. the staff was super excellent and all nitty gritty was taken care of...
I have stayed at EDSA Shangri-la several times because of its great location. It is also a resort hotel which is a plus. It is walking distance to good shopping malls and great restaurants.
As always when I'm in Manila, will definitely choose to stay at Shangri-la Edsa. The front desk check-in procedure seems to have improved as the wait for check-in and out was fast, unlike my previous visits. The private dining staff were wonderful and accomodating to all my requests.
Asia Room's rate was much cheaper than the hotel direct rate. I had to book my 1st night direct, due to short notice but had my 2nd and 3rd night booked through AsiaRooms. Asia Room's rate was almost 40% cheaper than the direct rate!
Thia isn't the first time that my family and I stayed at Edsa Shangrila Hotel. They have never disappointed me. Their rooms are very reasonably priced considering they are a five-star hotel. The hotel staff are well-trained, very polite and accommodating. I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel over and over again.
We have stayed in several hotels in the Philippines and this one, is definitely first class..
You just really have to have money for the incidental charges but it's worth it!
Keep up the good work, guys..
Overall, I had a pleasant 3 days and 2 nights stay. The hotel is centrally located with 2 big adjascent malls. The room size is adequate. The gym facility is far superior than the other 5 star hotels I've stayed in Manila. Food is expensive, would suggest going to other restaurants in the vicinity. Be sure to fill out the survey form, in turn they will give you a voucher for P1000 + for your use in their restaurants and lounges. I will certainly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Manila.
Overall, a good experience and nice hotel. The hotel is not in a good location or near anything, although, close to 2 malls. Also, the buffet breakfast is $23 per person, which is ridiculous!! Again, overall...a good experience and a nice hotel.
My Hotel stay was very short but enjoyed it very much. My son was very impressed with the hotel in general(service, appearance and the hotel employees). He said when he comes to visit Philippines, he will definitely stay at Shangri-la.
We traveled a lot(my husband and my oldest son are Airline pilots), and they said they will try Shangri-La and their next visit to Phil.
