This is my 3rd time at this...
This is my 3rd time at this Hotel(wish it was still called the Westin). I was there during a Typhoon and had maybe 2 days of sun while I was there for 2 weeks,but I enjoyed seeing the new Dining area and some of the new reconstruction.My room was on the 2nd floor facing the Arts Building and Mall of Asia.
The Hotel is still under some NOISY rentovation with rooms being redone and the typical Outside Noise(Car alarms going off,motor cycles engines blasting away,Dogs barking,Children and Adults pounding on hallway doors,Weekend rock Concerts playing until 1am, and dont forget the early pounding and Drills working on the upstair rooms.)
I still think the price of the room and the Breakfast for 2 is a GREAT DEAL. The Dinner Buffet has a wide selection to pick from...very impressed. The Staff was very nice with the exception of the People In the Casino Area...The 1st floor Casino was alittle intimidating when you have to approach a security area before entering a Semi empty card room. They want to take a picture of you to get a card to put in a slot machine to get your winnings if you win at all. I never FELT WELCOME when entering either the Card room or the slots area downstairs.
Overall this trip will MOST Likley be my last stay at the Philippine Plaza, i will try out the other Hotels in the area.
