We really appreciated the room and services...
We really appreciated the room and services we received. It was only for one night but hopefully more in the future. The staff were helpful. The bed was so comfortable, bathroom big and plenty of amenities.The christmas decorations amd atmosphere were beautiful. Included breakfast was excellent. Very cheap metered taxi to the airport. Will stay again. Thanks

My sister and I had a most...
My sister and I had a most pleasant stay at the Manila Hotel. We booked our cousin and his wife during our family reunion in Manila so we literally had our reunion there as most of the rest of the family went there to see us before we went out for the family dinner. The service was awesome. All the staff were so courteous and efficient. I left a diamond ring in the safe deposit box by mistake and checked out. When I called customer service about it. Shortly after I got a return call telling me they had my ring and it's ready for me to pick it up when I return from Mindanao which I did because we stayed at the Manila hotel again on our way back to US. The hotel was much nicer than we...
The hotel was much nicer than we expected. It had a beautiful old decor. The staff were helpful and fast. The room was small but charming. The view of the bay was great. It is right next to an aquarium. The breakfast was very lovely. We would go back again.

The overall English architectural design and large...
The overall English architectural design and large hall are impressive and give a nostalgic and romantic appeal. The mattress is good solid quality which gave me and my travel-mate an important good night's rest. Security is good as visitors are required to go through a detector whenever they come into the hotel. Service is ok. The room rates are reasonably priced for a 5-star hotel. Its location is convenient to sight-seeing places like the museums, churcand parks in the Intramuros. I will definitely go back to stay at this hotel when I visit Manila again.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise.I took advantage of the Sept special. Rooms are large (as are the bathrooms)and beautifully furnished.Front office staff were particularly helpful. Location is really good, just a short walk into Ermita. 100 pesos (if you insist on the meter) to the airport. Being close to Rizal Park you are away from the noise and touts of the main drag. Breakfast buffet was very good lots to choose from.

This is a grand old lady of...
This is a grand old lady of a hotel, but she's gotten a bit seedy. The staff treat you like a five-star guest, and so in contrast the room is a bit of a joke. After getting the kindest, most efficient and professional treatment I've ever experienced in any sort of hotel, the room: had peeling wallpaper in a corner, a mini fridge that smelled so strongly of mildew I couldn't stand to open it, a bathtub with mold in the corners and a jet black hair on the wall (mine is brown), and a pillow case with odd, pale stains on it. Other than that the room was very nice.

we really appreciated that the hotel still...
we really appreciated that the hotel still displays an old style in the best quality standard. Thus, we could really feel in a special place relating to the city and local history. The beakfast is at international standard, with lots of local stuff too.
