I found the staff very friendly & didn't have any problems with the hotel. I only wish the room was a little bigger & the internet was free. Of the 2 hotel I stayed in while I was in PH, this is the one I like the most. They had hot water as well for those who like to know. They also have WiFi available for a price but not 2 bad for those who need it.

Value for money, a nice friendly clean place to lay down your head, stash your luggage and use as a base. I'll be there again in a couple of years.

I have been staying at the Lotus Garden for years (formally Royal Palm Hotel). It has improved greatly since the new owner took over and refurbished the rooms and renamed it the Lotus Garden. The location is great and is in easy walking distance to the Robinson's mall, US embassy and tons of fast food and other really good resteraunts. There are some street beggers around but, you just have to ingnore them and go about your business. The food is OK but, you have so many other choices to eat around the hotel so, it doesn't matter. The free breakfast is just what it is, FREE. Don't expect too much with the Free breakfast. Rooms are clean and maintained well. Staff is very friendly and will go out of their way for you if, you are nice to them. I recommend this place for those that travel on a budget and want a good location to stay in Ermita.

The hotel is excellent for what you pay. It is located in an older part of the city where homelessness and begging is found, so may be disconcerting for many travellers.

Their breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I was told that because I "booked myself throught a travel agency" I did not have the right to a "Buffet Breakfast", instead I got a limited version which was pretty, pretty bad.
I would preffered not to have breakfast included rather that what I got. After the first morning I had breakfast outside the hotel. Other than this incident the hotel is okay.

Lotus Garden Hotel is just fine, we have enjoy to spent two nights at the hotel. Receptionist are nice and very friendly, the bellman is good. I like their attitude better than other hotel we've stay for 5 nights not welcome to us. We found the last minute before we transfer to Lotus Garden Hotel through the internet which we are looking those who have a kitchen, because we love to cook our own food, $35.00 a night is worthed and we enjoy cooking inside the room, they provide us kitchen stuff which plate, spoon, cooking pot, knife, etc. The room, the floor which tiles, the bed and the views, the mall is close to the hotel walking distance was perfect to us. I can recommend this hotel 4 stars. Please keep it up your business, I'm happy to come back your place, and reserve me the room has a kitchen. Thank your very much, more power to you.
