Very Poor Experience
My experience at Oxford Suites was dismal.. in fact I left the hotel early due to being treated like a dog. On Check-in I was quoted a rate US$200. higher than what was confirmed with AsiaRooms.com and told I needed a US$100. deposit for incidentals. (note- there is a quality/low cost laundry next door and a 7-11 less than 1 minute away). That resolved with much effort, and very rude treatment I ran into a further difficulty. My Credit Card was rejected on first swipe. This had nothing to do with validity or funds. It was due to many small banks in America are cautious of charges from the Philippines. One simple phone call home resolved it. The problem was I needed to wait 2 days after the Week-end to make the call.
I had previously stayed 3 times at Oxford and that fact had been stored in their Data-Base. I felt that being a returning guest, since 2008 booked through AsiaRooms.com using the very same Credit Card. and the fact I paid the day rate in cash would at least buy me 1 day (from Sunday to Monday) to call America. This was not to be. I was made to feel like a criminal, my room was never made-up and I was hounded continually. The property showed their true face. Your presence there is not genuinely appreciated or respected. I moved just across the street to what turned out to be a great place to stay at 1/2 the price. In fact there are many such places with-in a minute of Oxford. In my opinion Oxford Suites is best avoided. Dan/USA
