good choice
very well situated in Ortigas Center, next to Shangri-La hotel and 3 Malls. 5 minutes walk from the metro (subway). Friendly and competent staff. Very clean rooms. Good quality of food. Very nice indoor and heated swimming pool. Good value for money. I don't regret my choice.

The room and bath were nicely appointed...
The room and bath were nicely appointed and very clean but, for the price, disappointingly small. Not enough hot water for a shower and bath. Very comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast so-so but room service meals were good. Staff very courteous and helpful. Not much to see in surrounding area except a nearby mall that was a zoo. All in all, an okay place to stay but I have no desire to return.

This hotel is good value for the...
This hotel is good value for the price offered. Its location is among the best if you are doing business in Ortigas or Quezon City. The attitude of staff is pleasant. One is made to feel comfortable. Shopping centers and restaurants are within easy walking distance. A major drawback is that in order to have broadband in your room you need to make a specific request for it. Then someone from the technical department will come over and install a modem. The whole process can take a good while. This reminds of the 1990s and should not be found in a hotel of this category in late 2008.

Overall, it was a great place to...
Overall, it was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, checking in and out was a breeze, the wait staff and meals were great. The concierge even rang to cancel my hire car booking. A great place to stay.

The big dissappointment for me was that...
The big dissappointment for me was that money was taken off my credit card and I was not informed of this at the time, also the prices charged for the two drinks that I had from the fridge was extortionate, a price guide of the beverages should have been available in the room and clearly displayed so that your clients can make a informed choice, of weather the drink is of good value or not. The next time I am in Manila I will try a different hotel first before deciding weather or not to stay at the Richmonde again.

Staff is nice compared with other hotels...
Staff is nice compared with other hotels in Manila. Room & their service is good. Location is o.k., but front road, San Miguel avenue is too noisy, so better to get the room on left dide of hotel wthich is quiet street, or hight flore rooms. Indoor small pool is good for children only. Break fast restaurante is o.k., but no smoking area. Charge for P/C in business center is too expensive which is P.250/hour=$6.20. One of three elevater was not available.
