It was ok...?
Very basic hotel. Lift is shocking and not safe at all. Doors close real fast not giving time for customers to enter! And it's the slowest lift ever!
We got upgraded as our studio was not available. Rooms are big furnishing old but useable.
Not ideal for young families as hotel is located right in the red light district with strip clubs right alongside the hotel!. Hookers everywhere at night as early as 6pm!
Other than that if you aint to fussed and are looking just to sleep and go out all day, you'd be sweet.

comfy room at reasonable price
The room is just nice for 2 person, can cook, the hotel is clean and very relaxing place to stay..Across the busy Makati Avenue where you can choose variety of restaurant and its a busy city that never sleeps. I recommend to all to check the hospitality and cheerful services this hotel provided. The only thing that upset us was the lift, we need to take the stairs to go down as the lift only can used to go up.

all though the hotel would suite budget families the location is in the same street as many night bars.
the hotel was very quiet at night and bed comfortable.
Good food,entertainment ,money changers and taxis all within easy walk.
i would stay there again as a single person who wants to savour the beutiful shopping malls and sights of makati , manila by day, and the lively bars resturants by night.

Yes Lifts were a little slow as has been commented on previously... which can be annoying...
The room I had for the week was what I expected and clean. Both aircon's worked.
Location is very good. Probably the best thing going for this place to be honest.
Bathroom was terrible... make sure you got thongs/flipflops for your shower!!
Certainly the bathroom needed a total overhaul and hot water when there was for about 3 to 4mins only....
Keep ringing for more toilet paper and towels.... :) :)
As always, our experience with Asiarooms was...
As always, our experience with Asiarooms was great. However, the Citadel Inn is a horibly mis-represented facility, most certainly from the hotel's own claims provided to Asiarooms. It is in the middle of the red light district of Makati. You cannot enter or leave the hotel without being accosted by hookers, pimps, and aggressive merchandise hawkers. We did not feel safe unless we were locked in our room after dark each night of our stay. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, however the facility is neither clean nor well-maintained. Our room was a small suite, with biting insects (probably fleas) in the bed and very worn furnishings. We stayed as a family with our 10 year old daughter, and consider it totally inappropriate for families or anyone not wishing to visit an area dominated by strip clubs, bars, hookers, and drug dealers.

good place for a budget traveler, room i had could be bit better but was good enough. One but... I booked a room with breakfast and they want me to pay one more time for a breakfasts :o), not a big problem btw.
