I just returned from a week stay...
I just returned from a week stay at the Linden Suites and booked an Executive Room. I travelled alone and felt completely safe the whole time. I arrived at 7AM and I was accomodated right away even though my request for a Non-smoking room was not accomodated because there was no available room yet. However, I was moved to a Non-smoking floor as soon as it was available. Security was top-notch, the doormen were very polite - meeting me at the steps to help me with my shopping bags and not expecting a tip in return. In fact, everybody was polite and courteous, including the Front Desk, who graciously accomodated most of my requests. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices, and the waiters were always ready to greet you with that warm "Good Morning Ma'am" that I truly appreciate. My room was roomy and I enjoyed spectacular view of the metropolis every night. Three huge malls and St. Francis Church (for Catholics) were within walking distance. However, if it's too hot for you to walk to SM Mega Mall or Robinson's, there are plenty of Tamaraw FX taxis to take that you could hail in front of the hotel for only ten pesos (US$10 cents). Just ask the doormen. There's a 24/7 convenience store right next to the hotel and small restos selling chinese and local fare. My fave was Rufo's and their sisig and ihaw-ihaw (barbq) are all good!! They even do delivery.
Now to the not-so-good points: 1. The broadband internet at the room - it just doesn't work but the charge was also quite ridiculous (US$10++)so I always had to go to any wifi cafe in the malls. The business center also charges exhorbitant fees for printing (almost a dollar a page!!) and their internet charge also is a highway robbery!!
2. The drainage in the shower - management should do something about it. If staying for a week like I did, the clog got annoying after a few days.
3. The housekeeping - always forgetting to replenish something in my room : 1 day it was the bath towels, the ff day it was the shower cap and bathrobe, etc. However, one call and they quickly brought up whatever was missing.
4. The aircon - very very cold even if it was already set to the maximum.
5. Breakfast time ends at 10AM- I think it should be extended up to 10.30AM. Most of the guests hold breakfast meetings and it's a shame that the buffet table is cleaned up en punto at ten AM.
Overall, my stay at the Linden Suites was very good, relaxing and enjoyable. I will return in 4 weeks time and I will definitely stay here again!
