Well, Kimberly hotel was one of the hotels that me and my friends stayed during our holidays to Philippines a month ago. We find it to be an average hotel, evaluating from 3 major aspects i.e. cleanliness-house service and location of the hotel.
However, we would like to elaborate some shortfalls as below:
1. Security -Both of our rooms can be accessible via the same keys and it might apply to other rooms as well.
2. During booking with Asia rooms, we were informed that breakfast was included but the same was not specified whether its a "set breakfast" with limited choice or as other hotels we stayed, the Buffet breakfast. On a hungry morning, my friends and I visited the cafe, and as usual we gave the breakfast coupon to the hotel staff on duty that morning before proceeding to the buffet table to help ourselves. After enjoying our meal, we were told that we are only eligible for the set breakfast not otherwise.
3.The hotel staff especially the bell boy and receptionist should be well equipped with knowledge with best ways to get around Malate, its mode of transportation and of course the average fares. This will be very helpful for travelers etc. For instant when enquired, we were told by hotel staff that Malate walk front was very far away and we need to take a ride. But we decided to scour the city ourselves, we found it to be within a walking distance from the Hotel. The matter was raised to the same staff and he appears to be dumbfounded.
Please be advised that all of the comments above are not brought forward as "Fault Finding" rather we prefer the same to be treated as a risk improvement measure for Kimberly Hotel to improve its overall standard in collaboration of a hotel of its type and class.
