G Hotel Manila has a very chic deco - mostly black and white. The reception area and cafe were all very stylish. What impressed me the most was how friendly all the staff were - bell boy, receptionist, cafe waiters, and even the technicians. All were ready with a smile and warm address of "Sir" non-stop. Luther at the concierge was especially nice and helpful.
The one problem I had was the bathroom's hot water supply. I had to call in their engineers three times - twice at night and once in the morning - as there was no hot water. Had to ask them to fix it every time I wanted to take a shower, which was really troublesome.
Otherwise, I appreciate the free wireless connection. Also, the reception was very quick to react when they didn't have a King-sized bed upon my arrival even though I pre-booked a room indicating my preference. They upgraded me to a bigger room subsequently. I applaud the management for giving staff the flexibility to do that in order to satisfy clients.
Ask for the rooms at the front with sea-facing view if you can afford it. Something that made me wanna stay a little longer in the room instead of going out!
