Adequate
Room is clean. Excellent location as it near two of the biggest shopping malls in the city and a mere 30 minutes to the airport. Not enough amenities like power adapter (for european plug) and even sandals.

great location. 5 minute walk to metrowalk. the taxi ride to the airport was short only P140. always make the taxi drivers use the meters. the pool was located on the rooftop was very nice. there were not enough tables and chairs. the exercise room was adequate.
the free breakfast was not so good. the juice was watered down and the hot food was not very good! the second day of our stay we went to see what was being offered and decided to forego the free breakfast and paid to eat at the pancake house next door.
the lighting in the bathroom and the bedroom was poor. i had a visitor come by and she ended up opening the curtain in the bedroom and put her make-up on via the sunlight in the window.
the photos shown on the internet do not exactly reflect the actual conditions. i am coming back to manila from boracay and i will most likely choose another hotel.

I booked 4 nites stay in the...
I booked 4 nites stay in the hotel 1st week August. They upgraded me to a 2-room suite which is too big for me. I was suffering for the 1st 2 nites. For the 2nd 2 nites, I managed to get a studio suite..that was so much better. The breakfast was bad. The tea and coffee bags are for "welcome day" only, so if you stay more than 1 nite, you are not welcome at all.

Was happy with most everything. Staff were polite and professional. Cost was reasonable. Area is very nice. View of city from upper rooms is good. One negative was to get internet in your room it would cost $12 per day. That's too costly. There is a nice lounge area for free internet, but they do not air-condition the lounge, and they have no drinks or food service there. It was uncomfortably warm to sit there and work. Other than that, we liked it and will stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Malayan...
We enjoyed our stay at the Malayan Plaza very much. The staff was very well informed and very polite and well mannered. The service was excellent and the location to all the malls and other amenities was very good. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends. Keep up the good work.

We were very lucky to receive a very big room (actually two rooms with separate door), including kitchen and many amenities. Good location next to Podium, SM and Robinson. Only the breakfast is a little disappointing (outside of main building, only small selection).

Actually stayed here earlier this year. If your business is in the Ortigas district, you can't beat this location. It's in a great neighborhood and a short walking distance to everything you need including Megamall and the Podium shopping malls. You feel safe walking in the immediate area any time of the day and night. The breakfast that's included with your stay is actually a buffet that is the best free breakfast I have had in these hotels/apartels so far (and I have stayed in 5 different ones in the Metro Manila area so far). My only complaint would be the size of the room as I felt a little cramped in the living, bed, and bath rooms. The furniture and accomodations are otherwise fine except for the bed which I felt was on the hard side.
