A very sad Experience!!!
After our first night we checked out! Overall room was dirty! Sheets dirty, pillows worn and dirty, bathroom mouldy and unclean! Toilet did not flush well! Bed had some kind of bugs in them coz we both had itchy bites by the next morning! Lighting was poor made room dark and dreary! Towels smelt smokey and felt hard! The whole hall way smelt smokey! Curtains Looked like they've never been changed or washed!
It's a shame, cause the hotel is well situated in Makati and has the potential to be a great hotel!

Good experience, but expected more
The hotel was good, the staff were warm and helpful. The location is good too in terms of proximity to activity centers. A little improvement could make the hotel better. Like wireless access in the rooms instead of restricting it only to the lobby. Drinking water supplied was not enough for the days of stay. Towels provided were very few in number. Local call rates are exhorbitant. Other than these the hotel was very good value for money.

The location was good and I'm quite happy about the customer service especially for those guards who helped me find a cab.
Every employee in the place in general is friendly.
The standard room is decent. There's no wifi in my room then but it's fine.

Needless to say that it was a nice one as well.

Suggestions for improvements.
Great Eastern Hotel at Makati was very disappointing. First of all, the front end desk personal dont really do their job. I requested to transfer frm Great Eastern, Makati to Quezon City. But the reception didnt do that job. The room didnt have towels and toilet tissues. Surprising, though.
However, the room in Great Eastern in QC was a little better in terms of customer relations.

The room wasnt ready as I moved in. No towels were provided.
No toilet tissues and no hand tissues. The bedspread was not clean.
In overall I had a disappointing stay.

If you are looking for a low budget hotel. This is the one... not suitable for fussy travellers. Limited safe deposit, towels, bed sheets etc etc all looks very old... Food wise, not an issue as there is a mall just opposite the hotel..
Hard to find the location since the hotel sign is not lit. The lobby looked dirty and dark. Front desk ladies were friendly. The worst was my room. The red carpet look filthy, pillows were dirty and was not changed from previous occupants because there were hair, lipstics mark and greasy. Very disgusting!I requested to have the changed.The room was a little dark due to light outs and had them changed the light bulbs. This is the worst room i ever had during my travel.
This would have to be the worst hotel i've seen yet. So dirty ,smelly ,wet and mouldy carpet,other peoples rubbish left there and drinks have been drunk from the fridge and on top of all this i booked a double bed that was available and got 2 single beds,so disapointing and bad attitude to go with it at the desk never again, sorry but true
