Has a lot of potential
Be careful with your bookings, as AsiaRooms gave me a 5% discount for booking multi-day, but the hotel claimed the discount is bogus. They made it sound like they were doing me a favor giving me the rate I booked at online and on my resv. printout. It was barely a $2 difference per day. That left a bad feeling for me about the experience. Also they charge you for everything... No breakfast is included, printouts are an exorbitant P50 per page, which I didn't find out until I printed 2 pages. There is a ref in the room, but if you use it they charge P50/day. they are extremely strict about no smoking in the room. I had a guest and told them they had to go outside the hotel, because it was not made clear to me, you "can" smoke in the atrium just outside your room, just not in the room.
The first thing about this hotel is that it seems to be hard for drivers to find it. The best thing to do is tell them its almost next to the Franchise One hotel in Makati. Wish I could remember the cross streets. You definitely want to print off a "large" good quality map to to take with you to show the taxi driver. (Generally its good advice to always tell the taxi driver a cross-street as I found out the hard way, turning a 6 block ride into a grueling 25 block ride in heavy traffic, only to find out that he thought I wanted to go to the Other end of the road).
But I digress. This hotel has a nice boutique atmosphere with an inside atrium like you might expect from a tiny Embassy Suites in the US. That is where the similarity ends. But I would definitely stay again, carefully.
But it is Nice and quiet off the main streets which is a huge bonus for me. There is a nice little Mall just a block away, 7-11 on every corner and 2 mcDonalds in walking distance.
note: In Makati, Where you see a fence, stay on the sidewalk and "don't" walk on the street even when its dark late at night. Just stumble along the sidewalk, because the cops got me for jaywalking walking on the edge
