Stay at Days Hotel
The place is nice.. The overlooking view of taal lake made the stay worthwhile. Although we only slept there for 1 night, i'll say its a positive experience for us. Will definitely recommend Days Hotel.

My family and I stayed here for...
My family and I stayed here for 1 night with intentions of sightseeing, food tripping and swimming. However, some images and advertisements I saw online were a little far from what we've actually seen and experienced.Although the staff were so nice and friendly, the hotel lacked in vibrant ambience and activities. The facilities were quite dull and needs improvement.I didn't see a better place to eat besides the Oh Restaurant. There's this buffet restaurant where I planned to have breakfast but the staff told me that it's only for a certain group function they have that day.The room we got was clean, which I think is one big point of the establishment besides the spectacular view from the location, but it smells not so good..kind'a old.The hotel has a nice pool but bad maintenance. We didn't stay long in the pool because the water was not clean, and it seemed like the surrounding is already abandoned for days.I can say that it can be a nicer place than it is when attended properly by staff.

Location good with beautiful view of Taal...
Location good with beautiful view of Taal Lake and access to shops, restaurants and laundry, but transport to tourist sites is inadequate in standard for western tourists.(jeepneys and small tricycles only).Hotel transport expensive.Direct transport from Manila Airport to Days is only by hotel taxi and expensive.Few taxis in Tagaytay. Food service in lobby area needs improvement.Service slow on occasions.Breakfast is included but is only the "special" one which is weaker than most Asian hotels I have been to.Pay extra for larger breakfast. English knowledge of staff needs improvement. Room rates are high compared to Malaysia.eg A$70 per night more at Days than at Lone Pine Hotel,Penang where I have stayed previously. More likely to go to Malaysia or Thailand than the Philippines, due to high prices and poor public transport in the Philippines.

This was my second stay at this...
This was my second stay at this hotel. I have to say that the hotel is easy to find and close to the shopping centre and is in a fantastic location and all rooms get a view of Taal lake. WIFI in lobby is very handy. It is a very busy hotel and suits families and larger groups more than western couples I think. This time I was put in a standard room even though I booked a deluxe room via teh internet and it does not compare at all with the deluxe/superior rooms. At $120 plus a night I was unhappy that the room did not have a refridgerator, no kettle or tea coffee making facilities, and no patio furniture for the generous outside area. The shower had black mould on the ceiling and although I had requested a non smoking room it had the smell of stale tabacco smoke. TV was fuzzy and Aircon did not work well and the room was very dusty. The standard breakfast consisted of bread and cheese, and the buffet was only available on week ends. On the day the buffet was available, I was told it was only for convention guests. When I asked about upgrading to the full american breakfast the main waiter was agressive and the cashier downright hostile. Maybe they were having a bad day? Getting a second cup of coffee was also a problem. The other young man on duty was very nice and apologetic in regard to the other staff behaviour. Despite the above negative comments, generally speaking it is an ok experience staying at the hotel.

Fairly good place to stay for the price, location and service. At the time of our stay, TV was out of service due to storm. Entrance carpet inside the room was wet and damp, obviously due to water leakage.
